Spilled coffee on my keyboard at work. New keyboard at work. Tieraney went to her company's holiday party yesterday afternoon and proceeded to win nothing. They gave away Wiis, PlayStations, widescreen TVs, but no. She got a $25 gift card to Regal Cinemas. I'll take that, sure, but shiny new TV would've been cool.

Well, the car is back. I spent over 2 grand on a car with 75,000 miles on it. The less said about that the better.
ReplyDeleteMore money, more problems is the lesson for 2009. With the extra classes, I made more in salary than any year in my life. But the loss of value in my house means I need to run twice as fast to gain half as much ground.
With no end in sight. A strategic foreclosure probably makes some economic sense for me, and I don't have any ethical issues with it, but emotionally, I don't really have it in me to go through that type of process at this point in my life.
My plan, as I exit 2009, my kick returner groggily making his way off the field, is to continue to work as hard as I can, funnel every dollar I can into survival, and hope that down the road, the market turns and I can afford to sell the place and get out even.
I got a lot older this year.
Life takes over after the fumbled kick, with a 17-0 lead and just a few seconds left. Hopefully they'll take a knee and move on and not take one more shot just for fun.
