For some reason, the Wild decided to start the backup goalie last night. Backstrom is fine, but Harding was in goal, and we paid for it. Two of their first three shots were goals. We were down 0-3 at the end of the first, and went on to lose 3-6. The Kings had 23 shots on goal. 6 goals on 23 attempts. Horrible.
This is the first game in a five game road trip. Tough way to begin a season, but you shouldn't be losing 3-6.
Stayed home with my daughter. She threw up in the morning, so about 10 minutes after I got to the office, I got the call to head back home. She was fine all day (throwing up tends to solve the problem, after all), mostly playing in the living room while I worked in the office. Easy enough to work when she's home. Not so much with the boy.
And the first of the big announcements has come down from NAPCO. They've lifted the post cap, meaning I can put up as many articles as I want. This will help with page views, as being restricted to an average of three posts a day wasn't really doing much to keep people around. Supposedly, the next announcement will have to do with my pay scale. That'll be the fun one.
Life punts. Fair catch at the 7.
My ball. 1st and 10 on my own 7.

I lifted the post cap once.
ReplyDeleteYou like Community more than do I; last night's Parks was really good, it's best episode to date. Modern Family is at that level. I haven't liked either of the SNLs this season. The Seinfeld reunion on Curb was exciting. Letterman's mea culpa(s) was outstanding tv. The sitcom I never miss is Sunny in Philadelphia.
Those are my comedy thoughts.
Busy here. Car issues. Desk chair issues. Weird bites on the outsides of each of my pinky fingers issues. My various sports prognostications and accompanying investment is good. Work is heavy. I will almost certainly be renting out my house (probably at a monthly loss) by next summer.
Did I mention the itchy fingers?
Incomplete first down pass. I need to start throwing the ball.
