Sophie's first day of the kindergarten, which I think is wonderfully named. More things in American culture need to have German names. The German language is awesome.
Also awesome = Russian. Not awesome? Spanish. I'm not sure why that's still taught in schools. We should be teaching languages that are useful. Languages of emerging or established business countries: Chinese, Japanese and German.
Anyway, Sophie's not learning languages yet. I have no idea what she's learning. That's not up to me, it's up to religious special interest groups. But she came home with a "Sophie had a great first day" certificate. I had a great first day once. Best first day of my life.
