Not much doin' Saturday. I did that on purpose. I could've done all kinds of things, but opted against it. It was my first official weekend without two houses to maintain, so I opted to maintain neither. I'll get back into that next weekend. Saturday...cripes. Oh, the girl was sick. Threw up in the morning, so she slept on the couch all morning. Watching her, I fell asleep, too. Tieraney came downstairs, saw us asleep, and fell asleep as well. Lord only knows what the boy was up to. Crystal meth, maybe. So easy to miss that.
Sunday we went to Ashland for my niece's birthday. Brookside Park. Playgrounds, kids yelling, parents yelling, that sort of thing. This happens every year, and although it's not my favorite, it's at least outdoors, so I can grab one or two of the kids and go somewhere fenced in and just ignore everyone else. It works.
All in all, a pretty relaxing weekend. Nothing about which to complain.
We stick to the pass, but only pick up five.
My ball: 2nd and 5 on Life's 29.

When you own property in the type of ownership situation that I have, the rules of our collective ownership are governed by a board of directors. When there's a money shortfall, the board is empowered to tax the owners. That's what an assessment is. My taxes to own my townhouse have gone up. Who raised them, I did.
ReplyDeleteActually, what's happened is enough owners aren't paying their monthly dues that we need to raise the dues.
Presumably, this will cause more owners not to pay their dues. Which will cause dues to rise more.
I'm barely hanging on. Good stuff.
I enjoyed lots of time off this weekend. So much less work than normal.
And that picks me up 3 yards on the trap, just short of the first down. 4th and 1 on Life's 41. Being risk averse and confident in my defense, I'll kick it away.
