Tieraney and I signed the offer yesterday on the house. Now, we await the inspection. Last February, we hit this point before and the buyer pulled. We think this wasn't because of the inspection, but because the buyer had a change of heart. She wasn't willing to work with us at all on repair negotiations. Since then, most of the problems have been taken care of, so the list won't be nearly as long. No more than a buyer should expect, anyway. I hate this part, since I can't get past the disappointment from last year, but I can do nothing other than wait. My hope is that everything goes smoothly and we're able to get this done by April 30th, which would mean we're already done paying for that old house. This would be pleasing.
Hockey again tonight. Anaheim and St. Louis both won last night. Edmonton loss. That leaves us in 10th place, four points out of the playoffs. But we're a game behind St. Louis and Anaheim (8th and 7th respectively), so a win tonight would see us just two points back with four games to go.
Ruling was upheld. Receiver in bounds. Life is charged its second time out.

I've been thinking about something since you had Life (an unstoppable juggernaut) kick that field goal instead of going for it. How to integrate the strategic needs of the game with actual life events? I'm playing a very conservative game, as my life is designed to avoid dramatic events. But I find myself with a 3rd and 10 in the middle of the field, which is clearly a spot when I have to make a play. What to do?
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't have a house to sell (congratulations, hope it works out) the best I can do it buy a large memory card for the new blackberry and attempt to install it. I could go on about the importance of this, as within the context of my small life, it's clearly a pass play - but that would be trying too hard.
Anyway, I botched it. Now I need a repair.
I'm uncertain the degree to which my need to pick up a first down motivated my purchase/botch of the memory card, but it did cross my mind throughout the endeavor "gotta pick up this first down!"
Incomplete pass. I've got 4th and 10 from Life's 49 and I'll be kicking it away.
You know, I never looked at it that way. Can keeping track of the game start to dictate the plays? Would I have asked more girls out in high school/college if I was looking for yards? Been more aggressive in New York City if I knew the half was about to end?
