April 10th - 0-10

Well, my hockey team did what it had to do last night to remain in the playoff hunt, beating Nashhvlle 8-4. Have we ever scored 8 goals in one game? Certainly not this year. Even last year when Gaborik got 5 in one game, we only ended up with 7. Granted, two goals were empty-netters in last night's win, but I'll take them.

Sadly, the NHL did no cooperate. St. Louis and Anaheim both won their games, so they're in, and we're out. It's fine. As I've mentioned, I wasn't looking forward to another first round elimination. But there's talk of our coach leaving (where else has that happened recently), so who knows what we'll look like next year? I'm glad I didn't pay for tickets for the tonight's game against Columbus, that's for sure.

Looked at cars yesterday. I don't know why I'm doing this, as I'm getting my hopes up for possibly nothing. Still haven't heard back on the home inspection, and I can't be getting any of these vehicles if I don't sell that house. Regardless, I'm got a test drive scheduled for the Honda Fit. That's where I'm leaning, simply because I loved the longevity of my Civic. I trust Honda. But the Toyota Yaris is quite a bit cheaper, and it's not like Toyota isn't a respectable company. The Kia Soul is the dark horse, simply because I really like the look of the little dude. Plus, a better warranty and you get more features at a lower price. I have until next week to decide, so there's time to mull it over.

Draw play fools no one. 2 yard gain.

My ball: 2nd and 8 on my 35.

  1. I'm thinking your extra insurance money was maybe a bigger play for you than that.

So, when I took the extra online courses, it was done through the online division of the corporation for which I work. It was presented to me as additional work unconnected to the work I do through the local school, for which I'm paid a flat salary.

It appears - and I'm not entirely sure, I'll get a clarification (I hope) on Monday, but it appears that as opposed to getting extra money, they are shoehorning the extra work under my salary.

I'm busier than at any point in my life, and if this is the result, not only isn't it worth it, I'd quit if that type of thing were even remotely possible.

    I'm angry.

On the other hand, it's easy to fit this into the game. That's a 30 yard pass right down the sideline for Life, caught, out of bounds at midfield.

But I'm challenging the play - unsure Life got that second foot inbounds. And now we wait for the review.
