But, my diligent wife drove around with the kids before taking them to daycare in attempt to locate her. Sophie was crying, afraid she'd never see the dog again, but after fifteen minutes of searching finally yelled, "The dog's dead, mom! Just take me to daycare!" I have such a sensitive 5-year-old.
Thankfully, Tieraney didn't give up as easily as Sophie, and she eventually found Gelert who--although being a Siberian Husky and therefore having no loyalty to anyone at all--will not not pass up a ride in a car. So she climbed into the Matrix and Tieraney drove her back home, safe and sound.
Beyond that, the keynote was uneventful, but the expo has been good. Spent most of the day writing/editing for Appletell, then went to a private party at some club with lights under the floor and music I couldn't understand. I had my first Manhattan and my first gin an tonic, then went to Mel's Diner and had what was certainly not my first chicken soup, even though I'd ordered chili.

Oh, and my hockey team shut down the top offense in the league to get their second shutout win in a row, 1-0 over the Boston Bruins in Boston. It all adds up to a five yard run.
2nd and 4 on my 44.
