January 3rd and 4th - 0-0

Now, my normal policy is to post on a day/weekend the following morning. Never can tell what will happen between bedtime and midnight; an airplane engine could fall on the house, my hockey team could win (like tonight!), or my wife could finally agree to dress up like a horny business executive and pretend I'm her naughty bellboy.

But tomorrow morning, I'll be at Cleveland Hopkins airport awaiting my flight out to San Francisco for Macworld Expo. I'll have my Macbook with me, but will more interested in playing Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and finally finishing My Custom Van by Michael Ian Black than I will be in telling you about my weekend.

So, with a little less than an hour to go before Sunday ends, I feel safe in figuring out the play. It was a pretty uneventful weekend, but it saw my second favorite football team (the San Diego Chargers) advance in the playoffs, and my hockey team earned one point against Detroit Saturday night (we were totally robbed...no way Detroit got that late goal) and we got a shutout win against Colorado tonight. Those two items slightly compensate for the trepidation I'm feeling about leaving my family for a week, so we'll say we started with a hand-off, gaining three yards off tackle.

2nd and 7 on my 30.

  1. My game's gone bad in a hard way; death of girlfriend's dog on Saturday, which was, you know, more awful than I feel like thinking about and blots out the mixed bag that was everything else (her car's in the shop - bad, I'm back at work after vacation - bad, I continue to pick games correctly and had a profitable Sunday - good).

But it's a lightning quick score against me. I go down 7-0.

    Have a good trip.
